Hurricane Harbor San Antonio Opens April 26

New attractions, a water coaster and Texas-shaped wave pool make Hurricane Harbor the ultimate water park destination

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — April 23, 2025 — Hurricane Harbor San Antonio opens for the 2025 season on Saturday, April 26 with new family-friendly attractions, upgraded amenities, and a full lineup of water rides for all ages.

Coral Cove, the park’s dedicated kids’ area, continues to make a splash with six newer attractions introduced last summer, offering interactive and age-appropriate water play for younger guests:

  • Wipeout – A mini river slide with gentle currents for first-time riders.
  • Vortex – A twisting body slide offering pint-sized thrills.
  • Stingray – A smooth, wave-like slide inspired by the ocean’s most graceful glider.
  • Ripqurl Racer – A multi-lane racer slide built for head-to-head competition.
  • Cowabunga – A compact racing slide perfect for young splash seekers.
  • Bonzai Pipeline – A swirling slide with colorful curves and racing lanes for kids.

 

Other guest enhancements include:

  • Eight new double-decker cabanas
  • Upgraded lounge chairs
  • Expanded shaded areas

Hurricane Harbor San Antonio continues to offer a mix of high-thrill and family-friendly water attractions, including:

  • Bahama Blaster – A six-story drop slide reaching speeds of 40 mph.
  • Thunder Rapids – A water coaster with high-speed twists and turns.
  • Lone Star Lagoon – A wave pool shaped like the state of Texas.
  • White Water Canyon – A scenic lazy river through landscaped surroundings.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas is open year-round, while Hurricane Harbor San Antonio operates on select days from April 26 through Sept. 1. Admission to the water park requires an additional fee starting as low as $10. Access is included with Gold and Prestige Season Passes.
