General Event – Hours & Operation

Fright Fest Extreme the park’s largest and longest Halloween event ever with nine haunted mazes including 6 franchise-inspired mazes – Stranger Things, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Trick ‘r Treat, Army of the Dead, The Conjuring Universe, and Saw 20th Anniversary – as well as 3 original park haunts – The Asylum, Big Top Terror, and The Witches Reflections. It also includes five scare zones, frightful shows, specialty food and beverages along with rides in the dark.
Fright Fest Extreme at Six Flags Great Adventure runs select Wednesdays – Sundays, September 13 through November 3.
Hours vary by day. Visit https://www.sixflags.com/greatadventure for the most up to date schedule.
Yes. Just like in previous years, on weekends guests can enjoy the fun-filled daytime Kids Boo Fest and Oktoberfest events and stay for a frightful night with spooky shows, terrifying scare zones and our haunted mazes. Maze passes for our new and most terrifying haunts will be available for purchase for those brave enough to experience extreme terror.

Daytime events including Oktoberfest and Kids Boo Fest are available on select days. Park admission includes access to all Fall events.
No. Six Flags Great Adventure’s Fright Fest Extreme event is recommended for ages 13+ and No-Boos/No-scare bracelets/necklaces will not be offered.
No costumes are permitted during Fright Fest Extreme.

Tickets & Admission

No. Fright Fest Extreme, through November 3, will operate with general admission tickets! Just like in previous years, on weekends guests can enjoy the fun-filled daytime Kids Boo Fest and Oktoberfest events and stay for a frightful night with spooky shows, terrifying scare zones and our haunted mazes (with a Haunted Attraction Pass).
Yes. All Season Pass Holders can enjoy Fright Fest Extreme. Certain Pass Holders must purchase a Haunted Attraction Pass to enjoy the haunted mazes. See Pass Holder Guide for general information or visit https://mypass.sixflags.com to review inclusions in your Pass Holder Portal.
Yes. Legacy Diamond, Diamond Elite, and Diamond VIP Members in addition to Prestige Season Pass Holders and Members receive one free general Haunted Maze Pass each night they visit Fright Fest Extreme and can redeem for haunted maze access during Fright Fest Extreme 2024.
No. THE FLASH Pass is only valid for select rides and cannot be used for any haunted maze access. Entry to all haunted mazes requires a Haunted Maze Pass. Purchase an Express Pass for expedited entry into haunted mazes.

Yes. A Fright Fest Extreme RIP Tour is available for purchase online and will include priority entry to all haunted mazes, a private tour guide, reserved parking, RIP lounge with buffet and more.

  • All guests 15 years old or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone age 21+ with a valid
    government issued photo ID to be admitted to or remain in the park after 5:00pm on Fright
    Fest Extreme Nights.
  • One chaperone may accompany no more than 10 guests aged 15 years old or younger per
    day.
  • Guests 16 years of age or older may be asked to present a valid government-issued photo
    identification (Driver’s license, State-issued ID card, Passport) with date of birth at entry to
    verify their age. If unable to verify proof of age, guests may be denied entry into the park for
    Fright Fest Extreme.
Re-Entry during Fright Fest Extreme is NOT permitted.
Bugs Bunny National Park rides and attractions close at 5:00pm on Fright Fest Extreme nights and is closed on weekday operating nights for Fright Fest Extreme.
No costumes are permitted during Fright Fest Extreme.

Two separate tickets are required- General/Daytime Ticket and Fright Fest Extreme Ticket. Combo tickets can also be purchased. General admission on Saturdays and Sundays during Fright Fest Extreme ends at 5:00pm and guests must exit the park. Fright Fest Extreme admission does not include general day admission and is only valid for park entry starting at 6:00pm.

Six Flags Great Adventure’s Fright Fest Extreme operates as an evening only event which requires a separate ticket. Daily events including Oktoberfest and Kids Boo Fest are available to guests who have purchased general/daytime admission to the park on select event days.
Guests who have purchased both General/Daytime and Fright Fest Extreme Tickets and Pass Holders with Fright Fest Extreme access will be permitted to stay in the park with a valid wristband to continue to enjoy rides, food and daytime attractions before Fright Fest Extreme begins at 6pm. All daytime guests without Fright Fest Extreme tickets or a valid wristband will be asked to exit the park at 5pm.

Yes. Legacy Diamond, Diamond Elite, and Diamond VIP Members in addition to Prestige Season Pass Holders and Members receive one free general Haunted Maze Pass each night they visit Fright Fest Extreme and can redeem for haunted maze access during Fright Fest Extreme 2024.
No. THE FLASH Pass is only valid for select rides and cannot be used for any haunted maze access. Entry to all haunted mazes requires a Haunted Maze Pass which is included with your Fright Fest Extreme ticket purchase. Purchase a Fright Fest Extreme Express ticket for expedited entry into haunted mazes.

  • All guests 15 years old or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone age 21+ with a valid
    government issued photo ID to be admitted to or remain in the park after 5:00pm on Fright
    Fest Extreme Nights.
  • One chaperone may accompany no more than 10 guests aged 15 years old or younger per
    day.
  • Guests 16 years of age or older may be asked to present a valid government-issued photo
    identification (Driver’s license, State-issued ID card, Passport) with date of birth at entry to
    verify their age. If unable to verify proof of age, guests may be denied entry into the park for
    Fright Fest Extreme.
Re-Entry during Fright Fest Extreme is NOT permitted.
Bugs Bunny National Park rides and attractions close at 5:00pm on Fright Fest Extreme nights and is closed on weekday operating nights for Fright Fest Extreme.
No costumes are permitted during Fright Fest Extreme.
Yes. Fright Fest Extreme at Six Flags Great Adventure will require a separate event ticket which will include access to all haunted mazes, rides and entertainment beginning at 6pm on event nights. It will not include daytime admission. Combo Day/Night tickets are available for purchase online or daytime tickets can be upgraded in the park pending availability the day of the event.
