• Hometown Square: See fireworks light the night sky above park classic Whizzer. 

• Southwest Territory: See fireworks dazzle the night sky above park favorites like Raging Bull and Viper 

Please note that fireworks are scheduled for specific durations and times, and that they are weather permitting and subject to change.

Operational Notes for Star-Spangled Nights presented by M&M’S®  

This 4th of July bash at Six Flags Great America promises to be a huge party, and that means that certain standard park operations may be changed. Certain rides throughout Six Flags Great America will be scheduled to close early in preparation for fireworks. The following rides will be closing early during Star-Spangled Nights presented by M&M’S®.  

• Maxx Force – queue may close to 8:00 p.m. and will cease operation at 9:30 p.m.  

• Viper – queue may close to 8:00 p.m. and will cease operation at 9:30 p.m. 

• Raging Bull – queue may close to 8:00 p.m. and will cease operation at 9:30 p.m. 

• Giant Drop – queue may close to 8:00 p.m. and will cease operation at 9:30 p.m. 

• American Eagle – queue may close to 8:00 p.m. and will cease operation at 9:30 p.m. 

Exiting Six Flags Great America When the Party is Over  

All good things must come to an end, and Star-Spangled Nights presented by M&M’S® is no different. Once the fireworks have concluded, be sure to follow these helpful tips and guidelines as you exit the park. We anticipate large crowds for this awesome event; Six Flags Great America thanks you for doing your part to exit in an orderly manner — your cooperation will help to make your exit from the park safe, smooth, and efficient.  

Please adhere to the following guidelines as you exit the park after the fireworks have concluded:  

• All departing traffic will exit via Grand Avenue. The Washington Street exit will be closed due to accommodate fireworks setup.
