Hurricane Harbor Waterpark Debuts at The Great Escape

The Newly Branded Park Features a Tropical Theme and Two New Attractions

LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. — May 31, 2019 — Six Flags Great Escape Resort, upstate New York’s most thrilling resort property, is now bigger, better, and wetter with the unveiling of a complete outdoor waterpark transformation. The largest expansion in park history features all-new theming, two interactive new attractions—Bucket Blasters and Shipwreck Cove—along with expansive seating throughout, and a new food location.

“The Hurricane Harbor brand leads the industry with the most innovative water rides, slides, and activities,” said Park President Rebecca Wood. “This massive expansion, with two brand new attractions, has transformed the park into a tropical island experience with more to do than ever before.”
The all-new Hurricane Harbor will be the perfect summertime oasis for guests of all ages. Highlights include:

 A 14,000 square foot water play area expansion;

 Two exciting new water attractions with fun for the whole family. Bucket Blasters and Shipwreck Cove are located inside the all-new Monsoon Lagoon; and expanded seating areas, featuring shaded zones and a new food location. Perfect for a splashing battle with friends, family, and bystanders. Shipwreck Cove features a fun activity pool with interactive water sprays, geysers, and fountains, offering hours of water play entertainment.

The Great Escape and Hurricane Harbor are now open weekends and select weekdays until June 12, when daily operations begin through Labor Day.
