As a theme park, we believe that fun and a commitment to ecological transition go hand in hand. We are aware of our responsibility toward the planet and invite you to join La Ronde’s sustainable journey.

The environment is a core priority for us. Our team includes a dedicated member focused on advancing our sustainability efforts, supported by several employee committees addressing environmental concerns. We are actively working to enhance our practices, ensuring they are increasingly responsible and sustainable. We carefully select our partners to ensure they share our commitment to environmental objectives.

In 20 years, we envision a Montreal community that thrives, experiences and shares emotions that create memories through inclusive, accessible, and responsible events, fostering pride across generations.

An inclusive work environment

La Ronde is proud of the diversity that enriches our teams. We advocate for inclusion within our large family. Season after season, we are delighted to carry out La Ronde’s mission under the leadership of a gender-balanced Executive Committee and Ms. Emond, President of La Ronde since 2021.

Concrete actions for a healthier planet

Waste Reduction

Since 2022, many beverages at La Ronde have been served in reusable “Ramène-moi à La Ronde” cups. Thanks to this program, we have significantly reduced our consumption of disposable cups.

  • Reusable tableware is used to serve meals during our corporate events.
  • Condiments and utensils are provided upon request to minimize waste.
  • We also strive to reduce waste related to our employees’ uniforms. Worn uniforms are repurposed to give them a second life-as transport bags!

Elimination of Single-Use Plastics
At La Ronde, we are mindful of the ecological footprint of our activities. We are proud to have eliminated single-use plastics from the park: all tableware, utensils, and straws provided are made from compostable materials. This meaningful step for the environment aligns with the City of Montreal’s regulations.

Consignaction at La Ronde

Since the 2024 season, La Ronde has partnered with Consignaction to encourage visitors to return deposit-refund containers within the park. We distribute a significant number of these containers each year and are proud to ensure their responsible disposal.

In harmony with natural environments

Being located on an island, we are in close proximity to various species that live around and within our park, and we are deeply committed to protecting the island’s biodiversity. La Ronde makes considerable efforts to minimize its impact on natural habitats and promote better coexistence with the remarkable wildlife that calls the island home.

  • La Ronde has launched an awareness campaign aimed at both visitors and staff to ensure better coexistence and to highlight the importance of preserving wildlife.
  • We are also adapting our operations to accommodate the species that have chosen La Ronde as their home. For instance, we close off certain areas of the park during the nesting period of red-winged blackbirds.

In a substainable journey, together

Making efforts for our planet is important, but together, it’s even better! That’s why La Ronde encourages its visitors and employees to participate, one action at a time.

With easy access to public transportation around our park, we consistently encourage our visitors and employees to use public and active transportation to travel to our park.

We are also developing several internal awareness campaigns for our employees to inform and engage them in our mission.

Les amis de La Ronde

La Ronde is committed to supporting nonprofit organizations by contributing each year to their fundraising efforts through donations of One-Day Tickets. Over 500 tickets are provided annually in support of fundraising campaigns, organizations that offer direct assistance to sick children, and various community service programs.

Each year, the park also donates 10,000 free tickets to the boroughs of Montreal, which are responsible for distributing them to underserved communities.

Our mascots in children's hospitals

Each year, our mascots Ribambelle et les Z visit children’s hospitals in Montreal to spend time with young patients during a challenging period of their lives. Through these visits, we are pleased to bring smiles to over 1,000 children each year.

Our Support towards organizations

Pink Day

On August 17, 2024, La Ronde organized a fundraising event in support of the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation. It was a day full of pink! With the support of our visitors, we were able to raise funds to help the foundation assist those affected by breast cancer and their families

La Ronde Employee BBQ in partnership with Moisson Montréal

La Ronde organizes a barbecue for its employees in collaboration with Moisson Montréal. Employees are invited to share a friendly meal with colleagues and are encouraged to bring food donations or participate in the fundraising, which will be given to Moisson Montréal.

Clothing Donations to Renaissance

No unclaimed items from lost and found are thrown away at La Ronde. We regularly donate these items to the Renaissance organization.

La Ronde participation to Movember

Since 2024, the La Ronde team has come together to raise funds for the Movember Foundation. It’s a wonderful initiative to support the community, even after our summer season!

Food Donations

At the end of each season, La Ronde donates leftover food to the nonprofit organization Les Pirates Verts, which is committed to collecting this food and redistributing it for free to those in need.

Through this collaboration, we are able to reduce food waste and make a difference in our community.

Inclusion and Diversity

We believe that everyone has the right to have fun and enjoy great moments at La Ronde. That’s why we are actively working to improve accessibility and the well-being of our park’s visitors.

Each season, nearly 5,000 Attraction Access Certificates (CAA) are provided to visitors with functional limitations, ensuring they have a great visit tailored to their needs.
Diverse Meal Options
La Ronde recognizes that the ecological transition requires a change in our eating habits. That’s why we are increasingly offering vegetarian and vegan options. This initiative allows a broader audience to enjoy a meal that suits their dietary needs.

Concrete eco-friendly actions of L'International des feux Loto-Québec

L’International des Feux Loto-Québec is actively committed to adopting more eco-responsible practices to preserve our environment. Here are just a few of the initiatives we have put in place:

  • Integration of five minutes of lasers in pyromusical shows, in collaboration with Laser Quantum.
  • Implementing a maximum quantity of explosives per show.
  • Restriction of the use of certain pyrotechnic products with a significant impact on fine particle and gas emissions.
  • Replacement of plastic parts with recycled and biodegradable cardboard alternatives.
  • Adapting show scenarios to optimize dispersion of emissions.
  • Promoting the use of public transport and active modes of transportation to attend pyromusical shows.
  • 97% local (Quebec) sourcing for on-site activities.
  • Evaluation of the ecological footprint generated by visitors and staff via a survey. Posters with QR codes will be available on site to collect information on the means of transport used.
